Post 13: Free Write Toward Project 4

For the final post of the quarter, do some drafting towards your final essay. There are a number of ways to get started:

• Begin summarizing the articles in this chapter and comparing and contrasting them for the first part of the essay, the literature review. 
• Describe your "methods" -that is, how you observed and interviewed members of your discourse community to obtain data about the community. 
• Type up the results of your interviews, and interpret them alongside other theories presented in these articles, for example: anticonventionalism, modes of belonging, mushfake, filtering, enculturation.

Do not skip out on the Mirabelli or Branick readings: these will give you a better sense of the genre as well as more ways to approach data.
